Enhanced Behaviors Services

Enhanced Behavioral Services Overview
Enhanced Behavioral Services are specialized supports provided by San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) to individuals with developmental disabilities who are experiencing significant behavioral challenges that impact their health, safety, stability, or ability to remain successfully in their home or community setting.
These services are designed to provide individualized, clinically informed behavioral assessment, intervention, and support. The goal is to reduce challenging behaviors, build positive skills, strengthen caregivers and support teams, and promote long-term stability and quality of life.
Enhanced Behavioral Services focus on proactive, strength-based approaches that help individuals develop replacement skills, increase independence, and improve overall well-being.
How to Get Help
Talk with your Service Coordinator if behavioral challenges are affecting health, safety, placement stability, or daily functioning
Behavioral needs are reviewed, discussed, and authorized through the Individual Program Plan (IPP) process
How the Regional Center Helps
SARC supports individuals by coordinating Enhanced Behavioral Services when clinically appropriate. Services may include assessment, intervention planning, consultation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure effectiveness.
Support may include collaboration with:
Behavioral professionals (e.g., Board Certified Behavior Analysts or other qualified clinicians)
Service providers and direct support staff
Family members and caregivers
Residential or day program teams
Generic or community-based behavioral health resources
Enhanced Behavioral Services are individualized and designed to complement existing supports.
